{"id":2212,"date":"2024-03-20T10:33:18","date_gmt":"2024-03-20T09:33:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sca.kis.si\/?p=2212"},"modified":"2024-03-20T10:33:18","modified_gmt":"2024-03-20T09:33:18","slug":"beekeeping-project-from-bih-is-making-waves-all-the-way-to-ukraine","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sca.kis.si\/en\/beekeeping-project-from-bih-is-making-waves-all-the-way-to-ukraine\/","title":{"rendered":"Beekeeping project from BiH is making waves all the way to Ukraine"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The March edition of the Ukrainian beekeeping newspaper, <strong>Pasika<\/strong>, featured an article spotlighting our initiative, highlighting how beekeeping serves as a significant empowering tool for vulnerable communities, including mine and UXO survivors.<\/p>\n<p>Since 2021, in collaboration with partners <a href=\"https:\/\/www.itf.si\/\"><strong>ITF Enhancing Human Security<\/strong><\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.udas.rs.ba\/en\/\"><strong>The\u00a0Organization of Amputees Republike Srpske\u00a0(UDAS)<\/strong><\/a>, we\u2019ve been working to equip survivors with the skills and resources needed to establish small-scale beekeeping businesses. Through comprehensive training sessions, study visits, and the establishment of the Beekeeping Center in Banja Luka, we\u2019re not only providing a sustainable source of income but also fostering confidence, independence, and a sense of purpose among participants.<\/p>\n<p>Beekeeping isn\u2019t just a hobby; it\u2019s a fulfilling activity and a tool for social inclusion and empowerment.
