This prestigious event, hosted from February 20-22, 2025 , provided a platform for in-depth discussions on the future of agriculture, encompassing key topics like precision farming, digital agriculture, biotechnology, and sustainable practices.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The congress theme, &#8220;Frontier Sciences and Technologies in Agriculture for a Developed India,&#8221; aimed to address pressing agricultural challenges and innovations. Among the key areas covered were \u00a0precision farming , \u00a0genetically modified crops, \u00a0digital agriculture, and \u00a0climate-resilient farming techniques. The goal was to drive India towards agricultural sustainability while fostering food security, environmental protection, and economic growth.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">One of the key highlights of the congress was the <strong>Bee Vital Symposium: Understanding the Agricultural Significance of Honey Bees, which was co-organized by the Agricultural Institute of Slovenia (KIS).<\/strong> This symposium emphasized the indispensable role that honey bees play in pollination and their critical importance in global agriculture, particularly in the context of sustainable farming practices. Beekeeping Academy of Slovenia also showcased their ongoing projects, drawing attention to the importance of preserving bee populations and sustainable beekeeping practices.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Key Participants \u00a0included:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Andrej Simon\u010di\u010d, Ph.D., Director of KIS<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Prof. Janez Pre\u0161ern, Ph.D. Head of Animal Production Department, Group leader &#8211; Apiculture<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Valentina Cvjetkovi\u0107, Beekeeping Academy of Slovenia<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Danilo Bevk, National Institute of Biology (NIB)<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Gorazd Tru\u0161novec, President of the Urban Beekeepers Association<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Beekeping Academy of Slovenia also shared insights into their educational programs and international projects in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Zambia. \ud83c\udf0d\u2728<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Since 2021, we have been successfully implementing the project \u00bbBeekeeping as an empowerment tool for landmine victims in BiH&#8221; in cooperation with our partners ITF Enhancing Human Security and the Organization of Amputees of the Republic of Srpske (UDAS).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">In the project &#8220;(Women) beekeepers as drivers of positive change in Zambia&#8221; we are working together with ADRA Slovenia, ADRA Zambia and the Slovenian Business Club in Zambia. Both projects are supported by the Republic of Slovenia under the \u201cSlovenian Aid\u201d International Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid Programme.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">In addition to the symposium, Slovenia\u2019s contributions were featured in various abstracts that covered the significance of \u00a0beekeeping \u00a0and \u00a0agricultural policy , and emphasized the country\u2019s long tradition of sustainable beekeeping practices.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Slovenia&#8217;s International Collaboration Projects<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-2692 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/sca.kis.si\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/image31-300x226.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"226\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sca.kis.si\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/image31-300x226.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/sca.kis.si\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/image31-1024x771.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/sca.kis.si\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/image31-768x578.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/sca.kis.si\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/image31-1536x1157.jpeg 1536w, https:\/\/sca.kis.si\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/image31-530x399.jpeg 530w, https:\/\/sca.kis.si\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/image31.jpeg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">At the congress, we also had the opportunity to present two key international projects. The \u00a0Bee Vital Symposium \u00a0featured contributions from Slovenian experts and highlighted Slovenia&#8217;s strong commitment to environmental sustainability and the importance of collaborative international projects.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"text-align: center;\">Since 2021, we have been successfully implementing the project <strong>\u00bbBeekeeping as an empowerment tool for landmine victims in BiH&#8221;<\/strong> in cooperation with our partners ITF Enhancing Human Security and the Organization of Amputees of the Republic of Srpske (UDAS). The main purpose of the project is to equip land mine\/UXO survivors with the knowledge and skills needed to establish small-scale beekeeping businesses and create a supportive interconnected network to improve the quality of life.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: center;\">Project in Zambia : In the project <strong>&#8220;(Women) beekeepers as drivers of positive change in Zambia&#8221;<\/strong> we are working together with ADRA Slovenia, ADRA Zambia and the Slovenian Business Club in Zambia.
